Guacamole, Can be good for you?


MP900182716I know it is hard to believe that something that tastes that good also has some amazing health benefits.Okay, so maybe not everything in the dip but the main ingredient the avocado can do wonderful things for your health. There is research that proves in can help in the defense of certain cancers such as oral cancer and breast cancer. Studies have also shown that it can help with heart and eye health. The high levels of folate in avocado are also protective against strokes. People who eat diets rich in folate have a much lower risk of stroke than those who don’t.

Below I have included a lower carb recipe for you to try at your next party.

Low-Carbohydrate Guacamole

1/2 avocado

1 cup of mayonnaise

A squeeze of lemon juice

2 cloves of garlic

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of chili powder.

Peel and chop the avocado, chop the garlic fine and very small.

Mix all the ingredients. (It is up to you how smooth or how chunky you leave your Guacamole.)
